With EU funding, bfz was involved in a project for the development of the leather from 2009 until 2012.
The leather industry is the most important industrial pillar in the country, but is also one of the worst polluters of the environment.
In cooperation with the associations of the leather industry and the local chamber of commerce and industry, this involvement was designed to help create jobs and sources of income for the growing population in Bangladesh, without destroying the basis of existence of the surrounding residential areas through the pollution of the environment.
